ECuSn-A Phos Bronze A Welding Electrode Application
ECuSn-A Phos Bronze A Electrode is a special tin-bronze electrode for joining and surfacing on DC (+). It has a smooth arc that produces dense porosity free deposits in all positions and welds an excellent color match to bronze.
ECuSn-A is excellent for joining copper base alloys not only to themselves but to stainless steel, cast iron, steels. This electrode may be used on AC current and as an electric brazing rod.
This Phos Bronze A rod is also used for copper and its alloys, galvanized iron, cast iron, malleable iron, joining brass or bronze to steel, machine parts consisting of the foregoing metals as piston rock, gears, guides, water wheels, ship propellers, impeller blades, bearing, brushing, motor end rings, valve sets, contact points, coupling pipings, etc.

NOTES ON USAGE:
Preheating and interpass temperature is required.
For phosphor bronze and gunmetal 150~200ºC
For brass 250~300ºC
Don’t use too much weaving. The bead width should be kept within 3 times of rod diameter.
Apply hot peening on every bead because the structure of the deposited metal is rough at the as-welded condition. Hot peening is effective to an improvement of mechanical properties.
