RBCuZn-D Nickel Silver Brazing Welding Wire
RBCuZn-D Nickel Silver Brazing Welding Wire Introduction
RBCuZn-D Nickel Silver is a bare brazing wire used widely as a replacement for high-cost silver brazing alloys when higher brazing temperatures are acceptable. The weld deposits have a very high tensile strength, good ductility, and excellent corrosion resistance. Nickel Silver weld deposits are also readily machinable and will not work harden when put into service. A neutral or slightly oxidizing flame is recommended.
RBCuZn-D Typical Applications included Brazing tungsten carbides, copper alloys, nickel alloys, stainless and carbon steel; building up and/or overlaying worn parts such as gear teeth, bearings, and valve seats; brazing steel or cast iron where a good color match is desired
RBCuZn-D (referred to as nickel silver) is primarily used for brazing tungsten carbide. It is also used with steel, nickel, and nickel alloys. It can be used with all brazing processes. This filler metal is unsuitable for furnace brazing in a protective atmosphere.
Both bare or flux-coated can be supplied.
